Major famine likely in North Korea this winter
Social phenomena unfolding in North Korea point to a tragic famine this winter, with international assistance stalled, a South Korean religious leader said Wednesday.
Ven. Pomnyun, chairman of the GoodFriendsCenter for Peace, which engages in extensive North Korean assistance, said international standards on monitoring are still an obstacle to solving North Korea's food shortage.
