World Food Program chief visits North Korean capital

The executive director of the World Food Program is visiting North Korea for the agency's first top-level visit to the communist country in nearly 10 years.

Footage from broadcaster APTN shows Josette Sheeran arriving Wednesday in Pyongyang and being greeted by North Korean Vice Foreign Minister Pak Kil Yon, and later visited a food factory in Pyongyang.

The World Food Program has been providing food aid to North Korea since 1995. The U.N. agency says nearly a third of North Korea's 24 million people are undernourished.
