Ongoing North Korean mystery over South Korean trespassers

Four trespassers that North Korean claims to have arrested may be North Korean defectors who obtained South Korean citizenship, sources claim.

One North Korean defector claimed a refugee surnamed Lee and others recently went to China in an apparent attempt to rescue their relatives in the North but they disappeared off the radar.

Others say this is unlikely since North Korea, in announcing their arrest, would not have referred to them as South Koreans. A South Korean government source said, "Even if defectors were arrested, the North may have treated them as South Koreans because they carried South Korean passports."
